Volunteer Friends support West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) with some non-emergency passenger journeys for people attending Renal Units.

​Bookings come directly through from WMAS and therefore we are unable to take on journeys ourselves, only those that meet WMAS’s eligibility criteria.

Our volunteer drivers collect the patients from home, take them to their appointment at the relevant hospital and then return to the patient several hours later after treatment to take them back home.
