Volunteer Friends has been providing crucial services in the Nuneaton & Bedworth borough for over 30 years, thanks to the dedication of our loyal team of volunteers and generous donations from local people within the community. Our charity aims to connect communities through social interaction. We support independent living to improve the health, well being and social connectivity within the borough of Nuneaton & Bedworth.

Your donations mean that we can continue to provide these highly valued and integrated services to our local community:



Supported Shopping Service

More than 600 clients used our Supported Shopping Service in 2019, with over 200 of those being wheelchair users. Our fantastic volunteer drivers completed over 3600 miles taking members of the community to get much needed food and drink at ASDA in Nuneaton 2 days a week.

It is a lifeline to those in the borough to be able to get out and about and have help with getting everyday supplies.



Medicar Transport Service

Our amazing team of volunteer drivers undertake over 6,000 hours, completing over 550,000 miles to transport clients to medically related journeys. Clients are not able to use public transport because of ill-health (short or long term), caring responsibilities, old age or disability.

This provides vital support for those struggling to make even routine appointments they would normally not be able to go to.
